ME Bank (Members Equity Bank Ltd), based in Melbourne, is a branch-less online retail bank with a focus on low cost and no frills banking products. It provides a wide suite of commercial and personal banking products and services including everyday transaction and online savings accounts, term deposits, business deposits, award winning home loans from variable to fixed rate mortgages, low rate credit cards, Visa debit cards, retirement planning and more. The new applications for personal loans are not being accepted anymore but existing accounts will remain open. ME Bank was created in 1994 and today operates as a division of Bank of Queensland (BOQ). ME Bank no longer has branches in Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Hobart, Darwin Sydney and Canberra. It became a wholly-owned subsidiary of BOQ Group in 2021.
