Australian Unity Limited, established in 1840, is one of the oldest mutual organisations in Australia. The company was created through the merger of Australian Natives Association and the Manchester Unity of Oddfellows in 1993. Lifeplan Australia Friendly Society continues to be the largest provider of investment and funeral bonds in the nation.
