BankVic, established by police officers, is one of Victoria’s largest mutual financial institutions with over 117,000 happy members and customer satisfaction rating of 96%. The Bank offers high-quality financial products and services to Victorian police and health, emergency and public service employees as well as their friends and families. It offers transaction and high-interest savings accounts, term deposits, home and personal loans, car and travel loans, internet and mobile banking, financial planning, general insurance products, debit cards as well as low rate Visa credit card for everyday banking and Qantas Visa credit card. In 2013, the company became a mutual bank and changed its name from Police Credit Co-operative to BankVic. In 2017, the two new branches were opened - Royal Children’s Hospital branch and Sunshine Hospital branch. BankVic is the business name of Police Financial Services Ltd. For the year ended 30 June 2022, BankVic recorded total assets of $2.8 billion and deposits of $2.5 billion. Residential mortgages accounted for over 98% of its loans. The company was founded in 1974 and today employs about 150 people.
