Westpac New Zealand Limited, headquartered Auckland, is the third largest bank in the country in terms of total assets. It has around 1.4 million customers, 4,500 employees, and 115 branches and 440 ATMs across the North and South Islands. The company provides a comprehensive range of products and services to individuals, small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), farmers, and corporate and institutional clients. It offers current accounts, savings products, mortgages, personal and auto loans, commercial lending, credit and debit cards, general and life insurance, pension products, investments as well as corporate & structured finance, transactional banking, trade finance, import and export services, mobile and online banking, and international payments. It also offers agribusiness insurance, farm and equipment finance, agribusiness term loans, KiwiSaver for employers and more. It was the first bank in New Zealand to offer green home loans. Westpac New Zealand has been operating in the country since 1861. As of September 30, 2022, Westpac NZ reported $120 billion in total assets, $81 billion in deposits and $8.8 billion in shareholders’ equity.
