Victoria Teachers Credit Union was established in September 1972 under the name VTU Credit Union Co-operative which changed its name to Victoria Teachers Credit Union in 1996.
In March 2012, the company was renamed Victoria Teachers Ltd and commenced trading as Victoria Teachers Mutual Bank. In December 2017, it was rebranded to Bank First.
As of June 30, 2018, the Bank had total assets of $2.5 billion, deposits of $2.3 billion and served over 108,000 members.
