Volt Bank Limited is a retail challenger bank headquartered in Sydney. In 2018, it became the first neobank to be granted a restricted ADI licence from Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA). In 2019, Volt received a full banking licence to operate as an authorised deposit-taking institution. Today customers can open a Volt savings account by registering in the Volt app. The Bank will offer transaction accounts and joint accounts in the future. There is no minimum balance to open or maintain your account. You can withdraw or transfer money between accounts up to $20,000 per day. You can also spend up to $10,000 per day on your Volt debit MasterCard for any purchases, including ATM withdrawals. The company was established in 2017 and today employs about 150 people. Steve Weston is founder and CEO of Volt Bank. As of June 2021, the company had over $135 million in total assets and about $90 million in deposits.
